ARTIST: Jessica Montañez
Jessica Montanez is an artist from Bronx New York, who now resides in Asheville. Her art pieces are usually both combinations of vivid unscripted colors and bold lines that never cease to start conversations. She hopes to see her art in a New York Museum someday.

“In Faces of AVL, I intentionally incorporate architecture to juxtapose humans in the modern landscape. I also use the Japanese technique of “Wabi Sabi” in my portraits; I purposely choose to highlight the beauty in a person’s imperfections. Faces of AVL celebrates humanity, shuns conformity, and seeks to find a common thread in a diversity of faces.”
